
Jennifer dreamed of all her life to become a multitasking super star. When she was a kid she was a fan of a range different musical styles, but mainly Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and the bachata as well as popular music such as pop hip-hop, R&B. Music was her passion, but she was also fascinated by the film industry. Her biggest influence was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer is also an entertainer as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended eight years at Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After a four-year stay at the school, she was able to graduate from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. Jennifer excelled in athletics at school and competed in tennis and track and field. When she was in Castle Hill, she spent her childhood in a 2-story residence. Jennifer left her home with her parents when she was 18 , to leave. Lopez worked as a lawyer during that time and took dance classes at night.
